# Connect a billing platform

> Create your account and connect Stripe, Shopify or Wix with a read-only key.

## Create your account

[Sign up](https://app.onemrr.dev/signup) with your name, your business name, an email and a password of at least 10 characters. Your business name becomes the name of your workspace. You can invite teammates later from **Team**.

You land on **Get started**, a three-step checklist: connect, import, and check your MRR.

## Pick your platform

Under **Connect a billing platform**, pick where you bill customers. Connect Stripe for direct billing, and Shopify or Wix for app-store billing. You can add the others afterwards.

Then paste the details for that platform and select **Check and connect**. OneMRR checks them with a read-only call, then encrypts them. They're never shown again.

**Stripe**

1. In Stripe, go to **Developers → API keys → Create restricted key**.
2. Give it **Read** access to Customers, Subscriptions, Invoices, Products, Prices, Coupons, Charges, Balance and Events.
3. Paste the `rk_live_…` key into **Restricted API key**.

**Webhook signing secret** is optional. Add it if you point a Stripe webhook at OneMRR. Without it, a webhook only triggers a quick check for changes.

**Shopify**

In the Shopify Partner Dashboard, create a Partner API client with **View financials** and **Manage apps**. Then fill in:

* **Partner organization ID**: the number in your Partner Dashboard URL.
* **Partner API token**: from the API client.
* **App ID**: the number in your app's Partner Dashboard URL.

**App API secret** is optional. It verifies webhooks your app forwards to OneMRR.

OneMRR reads app events (installs, plan changes and cancellations) and transactions. Shopify's fees are tracked apart from your gross MRR.

**Wix**

Select **Add Wix**. The app fields are optional.

Then, on **Connections**, select **Upload payout CSV** on the Wix card and upload your app's payout export from the Wix developer center. Upload each new export when it arrives. Rows already imported are skipped.

Wix doesn't share live subscription status, so Wix MRR is estimated from payouts and marked as estimated.

**Paddle**

Paste a Paddle Billing **API key** with read permissions and choose the **Environment**: live or sandbox. Paddle reports its fee on every transaction, so MRR after fees is exact.

**Lemon Squeezy**

Paste an **API key**. Leave **Store ID** blank to use the key's first store. Lemon Squeezy doesn't report fees, so set your fee rate under **Settings → Revenue calculations**.

**Custom (API)**

For your own billing system, select **Add custom source**. Then send customers, payments and subscription events to it with a secret key from **Settings → API**.

## Add more sources later

Connect as many platforms as you sell through, and more than one account of each. Go to **Connections** and select **Connect a source**.
