# Branding and sending

> How your customer emails look, who they come from, and where replies go.

Every email OneMRR sends to your customers (the cancellation survey, retention check-ins and Before it ends reminders) uses the settings under **Churn & retention → Settings → Branding**.

## Your brand

* **Product name, logo and color**: shown in every email and on the survey and unsubscribe pages.
* **Sender name**: the name customers see the email from, such as "Chris from Acme".
* **Support email and postal address**: shown in the email footer.
* **Reply-To address**: where customer replies go. Select **Save and confirm**, then confirm it from the email you receive. Until it's confirmed, emails don't invite replies, and check-ins and Before it ends emails can't be sent.
* **Powered by OneMRR**: a small line in the footer. Turn it off if you prefer.

Select **Send test emails** to get all three emails in your branding at the workspace owner's address, then **Publish branding**.

## Send from your own domain

On Launch and Growth, set this up before you turn emails on. Your customer emails then come from your own address, signed for your domain, which inboxes trust far more than mail sent in your name from someone else's domain.

1. Enter the address to send from, such as `chris@yourcompany.com`, on a domain you own.
2. Add the two DNS records shown, where your domain's DNS is managed:

   * a **TXT** record (DKIM), which lets inboxes check the email really comes from your domain;
   * a **CNAME** record (Return-Path), which sends bounces back through your domain.

   On Cloudflare, set the CNAME to **DNS only** (grey cloud). On Amazon Route 53, put the whole TXT value inside one pair of double quotes.
3. Select **Check DNS**. Records can take a few minutes to appear, sometimes longer.
4. Once both are verified, turn on **Send from** your address.

If a record stops verifying, or you turn it off, emails go back to OneMRR's address straight away.

Until you set up your own domain, emails come from OneMRR's address with your name and "via OneMRR", such as **Acme via OneMRR** `<feedback@onemrr.dev>`. They're signed and delivered, but are more likely to land in spam.

## White-label (Growth)

On Growth, sending from your own domain also removes OneMRR from everything your customers see:

* no "Powered by OneMRR" in emails;
* no OneMRR name or icon on the survey and unsubscribe pages;
* replies go straight to your Reply-To address.

Because replies don't pass through OneMRR with white-label, they aren't shown in At risk or counted in **Churn & retention → Email impact**. Without white-label, replies come back through OneMRR's reply address: they're kept with each email and forwarded to your Reply-To address.

## Unsubscribes

Every email has an unsubscribe link in the footer and supports the one-click unsubscribe button in Gmail and Apple Mail. Anyone who unsubscribes, whose address bounces, or who marks an email as spam gets none of the three emails again.
