# Growth

> How fast MRR grows over a month, a quarter and a year.

At the bottom of the **Overview**, **Growth** shows the change in MRR this month, over the last 3 months, and over the last 12 months. Select **All periods** for the full table.

## Growth by period

**Insights → Growth** compares MRR at the start and end of each period, ending with the latest month.

| Column | What it means |
| - | - |
| **Start MRR**, **End MRR** | MRR at the start and end of the period. |
| **Change**, **Growth** | The difference, in dollars and as a percentage. |
| **CMGR** | Compound monthly growth rate: the steady monthly growth that would take you from start to end. Use it to compare periods of different lengths. |
| **Quick ratio** | Gains ÷ losses: (new + expansion + reactivation) ÷ (contraction + churn). Above 4 is strong. Below 1 means MRR is shrinking. |

With **All sources** selected, the page also shows one table per source.
